PAPER, BUT NOT JUST PAPER
Specially designed for use with CAFEC's Deep Dripper, the Deep 45 filters contain a 45° angle—steeper than other conical shape filters.
For brewing 3-7 Cups.
The next generation of innovation in CAFEC's constant pursuit of greater efficiency and performance, Abaca+ Paper Filters are produced using a fine-grained crepe technique. By narrowing the distance between each crepe and increasing surface area with an even more uniform texture, Abaca+ filters are designed to allow a faster flow rate and to put control more firmly in the hands of skilled brewers.
Composed with a blend of non-wood Abaca (also known as Manila hemp) and wood pulp, CAFEC Abaca Paper Filters feature good air and liquid permeability, strength and elasticity, and are highly regarded for the quality of cup they yield.
Pack of 100 filters.
FEATURES
Specially designed for use with CAFEC's Deep Dripper, with a 45° angle.
Using a wet creping method with a wider speed gap between the rotating roll and dryer drum, the resultingly fine-grained crepe increases total surface area by narrowing the space between crepes rather than relying on the height of the crepes themselves.
With a more uniform texture and faster flow, Abaca+ filters are designed for experienced brewers who wish to control flow rate and brew time with their own skilled ability.
Derived from a species of banana native to the Philippines, Abaca (also known as Manila hemp) fibers are four times as strong and only half as thick as wood fibers.
The inclusion of Abaca—a more easily renewable photosynthetic biological organism—in the composition of these filters earns them the Biomass Mark certification in recognition of their environmental consideration.
Abaca+ filters are also Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified as their production meets traceability standards of sustainable forest management.
With a lower crepe height and correspondingly lower volume, Abaca+ filters are more efficient on a transport basis, further contributing to their eco-friendliness.
CAFEC Abaca paper filters are the official filter of the Japan Hand Drip Championship.
