CLASSIC & COZY
Mikko's signature profile, LØVE is a fundamental espresso or filter coffee—chocolatey and full-bodied with hints of hazelnut and caramel sweetness.
Classic and balanced, this medium roast blend is an everyday crowd pleaser. Developed for a fuller body without masking any of its natural flavours, it is equally enjoyed with or without milk and ideally suited for brewing by any method.
ROAST SCHEDULE
In order to provide you the freshest coffee possible, all orders received up to and including Sunday will be roasted Monday and shipped Wednesday.
12oz | 340g
FROM THE ROASTER
We developed this profile late March 2016. It's also when our son, Leo, was born. We wished to pay tribute to our new son by referencing him in the coffee's name. Turns out løve means lion in Danish. For English speakers, it also brings to mind the concept love, which is exactly how our Leo came to be. We just couldn't resist.
BLUE COLLECTION
Coffees in Mikko’s Blue Collection are like trusty companions. You can expect a cozy, familiar taste experience with these coffees. Perfect for people looking for full body coffees, low in acidity, with flavour notes more in the nut, dessert, spices and subtle fruit categories.

ABOUT MIKKO
It all began in 2014 with the opening of Mikko Espresso in Hudson, Québec. Soon after, Kaito Coffee opened its roasting facility within the same premises, enjoying a fruitful partnership. To propel the businesses into a new era of growth, the brands fully merged under the Mikko moniker in 2023.
With mindfulness and transparency as guiding values, Mikko continually strives to make the most delicious and sustainable coffee, and to share what they love with others who care as deeply as they do.
In the meantime, they’re simply doing their part to reveal something beautiful—one coffee at a time.

With mindfulness and transparency as guiding values, Mikko looks to honour and reveal coffee's delicate clarity.
A dynamic spectrum of flavour experiences is available by way of coffee, and Mikko's burning desire to share these incredible possibilities is what inspires their relentless pursuit of learning and improvement at all stages of production.
Responsibly sourced and meticulously roasted in small batches, Mikko aims to preserve the highest degree of quality in their coffees.
With the help of their Loring roaster, they mix equal parts craft and shameless nerdiness into developing just the right roast profile to unlock the full potential of nuanced flavours inherent in each bean.

"I live in Nova Scotia. I’m surrounded my fabulous cafes and a couple of wonderful coffee roasters. That said , the best coffee I’ve had this side of the Atlantic is Mikko / Love from Cafenué . It’s smooth with with a subtle and delightful sweetness to it that leaves a slight caramel taste on the tongue. I have it ground for both pour over and espresso and it’s great for both . Enjoy ."

"Not bad coffee, but I'd adjust the description. I would not call this coffee medium roasted, it taste almost "burnt" with zero acidity like a very dark roasted coffee even though the beans are still not that dark. Some people love this profile and it's not bad but if you're used to less roasted coffee this one will be difficult to enjoy. With milk it's good. Just the not the expected experience from a "medium" roasted speciality coffee."

"Whit a cafelat robot, the taste of that coffee is very good. However i would like a better texture of the coffee in espresso."

"Fresh coffee and delightful aromas. Definitely on the mellow side but very good nonetheless. Definitely would love more varieties added to the website from this roasters or others."
