Great machine with some minor issues

"I love this machine and it makes a great cup of coffee. I like the simplicity, the size, the looks, and the feeling of manually pulling each shot... That said, the accessories that come with the machine are insufficient tools for the job in my mind. I went with a naked portafilter and switched out the ridged basket immediately for a high quality one without a ridge on the inside. I also purchased a good quality tamper as the one in the box is somewhat lacking, to the point that it is unusable. Other than those minor issues I am really happy with this and I would still choose this machine even in hindsight. It has really leveled up the coffee experience in our household and has turned my wife into a coffee snob."

Good value with compromises

"For what it is it’s great. The price and ability to make espresso is well worth it. I think the accessories are useless, pretty cheap and needed to be replaced as well as the unusual sized portafilter makes finding 3rd party accessories nearly impossible and they should have made it a true 51mm. I also wish it came with a naked portafilter instead. I knew there would be compromises with this machine and I’m ok with that and don’t regret my purchase."

Intermediate level

"It is an excellent product, I have had the Presso since 2006 and now I have the ROK. Without a doubt, the quality of the product is very good. I think it should not be for someone who is starting out in the world of manual espresso press. since they are going to have problems with the configuration to get the proper pressure. This press must be accompanied by a mill that is capable of grinding fine enough. Things to keep in mind and what I recommend: Replace the basket with a 51mm one and purchase distribution tools. Have a good tamper, if it is a strong and level tamper, it is better Without a doubt, it is an excellent machine, very compact and of good quality."

Not easy !

"I'm steel looking for the best way to get the best espresso with the Rok Espresso GC, I can't get the perfect Crema. I'm using a Timemore C2 Max as grinder."

Great Coffee Maker

"Great machine! Takes a little getting used to pull quality shots, but once one figures out the finer points of this machine, it's a joy to use, easy to clean. One suggestion i would offer to ROK is the make the bayonet ring out of stainless steel, as the aluminium one seems develop cracks just beyond the retention ears, which is replaced under guarantee, so either way, they got ya covered;) Cafune as well gets 5 star for stellar service, quick answers and easy interactions;)"
