    • SUPERIOR PRECISION FOR FILTER BREWING

Gain even greater control of your grind and enhance particle size consistency in the filter brewing range with Kinu's specially designed Pour Over Burr.

    Good upgrade afterall

"Using it with my m47. Works great with darker roasts, but it might produce more fine grains than desired with lighter roasts."

"the original burr does well with pour over but this one is def better"

Clear, Transparent Brews With Effortless Grinding

"The PO burrs open up the M47 into a clarity-driven pour-over specialist, giving bright, sparkling cups without harsh edges. It grinds fast, effortlessly, and produces a distribution that makes dialing lighter roasts surprisingly easy. For anyone chasing expressive, high-clarity brews, this is one of the most satisfying manual burr sets that I own."

Compliment to the standard Kinu burr

"Great compliment to the standard burr in the Kinu M47. I like having it on hand to swap between the standard burr whenever I need to grind courser for pour over. Helps make the grinder the best of both worlds!"

"I just installed on my Turin DM47. Unbelievably good for pour over. Game changer!"

    Makes grinding easier

"I found that the stock burrs were just too aggressive with very light roasts and I had to really bear down to crank the grinder. That made hand grinding no fun and I dreaded using the grinder. These burrs are much less aggressive so they grind slower - less coffee is ground with each turn. That means that overall grind time is longer but that also makes the grinder much more pleasurable to use to me ... and that makes the difference between using this grinder - or not."

    I'm torn with this one

"First, some context: I brew 90% of my coffees using the Hoffmann V-60 recipe for which I use the 3-0-0 (15 clicks in comandante) setting for 15g with the regular burs. This is very fine compared to the grinds my friends use when brewing v-60 or what I see used in cafes. The reason I'm torn with these burrs is that they do what they're advertised to do, you get more grounds in your desired setting. That being said I did put these burrs head to head with the regular Kinu Burrs and the Comandante C-40 through Jonathan Gagné’s ad Astra particle software 3 times at different grind settings with similar results. The results were the following: Regular M47 burrs and Comandante were really close in particle distribution with a slight edge to the comandante, the pour over burrs had a wider particle distribution but a slightly larger percentage of particles in my desired range compared to the other two. In all honestly, other than it grinding coarser at the same settings as with he regular burrs (you have to adjust your settings) and longer grind times I don't see much difference over the regular ones in regards to taste when adjusted to the same TDS %. Less fines are always welcome, but at my usual grind setting I feel like the regular burrs are already top notch and grind much faster. Again this is just my case scenario and I can see how they could be really useful for larger batches with a Chemex, cold brew or the 4:6 method (I really love these burrs for this method). If you see yourself making coffee in these methods I highly recommend them. They're also cheap enough to try them, and it's been really fun to play with them. TLDR: They work as advertised, but they're a small improvement over the regular burrs and comandante and takes too long to grind at my usual settings."
