DEEP & JUICY
The latest from Kaito's Red Collection, Bensa Segera is bursting with deep undertones of dark cherry counterbalanced by a delicate raspberry acidity. Expect a smooth and juicy body with plenty of fruity sweetness and a lightly floral note.
Developed just enough to accentuate its natural sweetness and complex flavours, this light-medium roast single origin Ethiopian coffee is best enjoyed black, and lends itself beautifully to filter or immersion methods.
In order to provide you the freshest coffee possible, all orders received up to and including Sunday will be roasted Monday and shipped Wednesday.

FROM THE ROASTER
Moplaco was founded in 1972 by Yiannis Georgalis, and is now run by his daughter Heleanna. She is known for her love of experimentation and willingness to take risks in order to create a transcendent cup of coffee. Her farming and processing practices are the absolute gold standard—diverse and honed over time. The “Kenya washed process” that Heleanna uses for this coffee was inspired by the dry fermentation practices she witnessed in Kenya in order to preserve water. The coffee is depulped, then fermented in cement tanks for 36 hours before drying, bringing out a cleanliness reminiscent of Kenyan coffees along with a distinct spice character.
Coffees in Kaito’s Red Collection are like fireworks. Expect an exotic and unique taste experience. Perfect for people looking for wondrous, and sometimes curious coffees.

Kaito is a boutique coffee roastery, founded by partners in life and business, Holly & Paul von Hoyningen Huene, in their hometown of Hudson, Québec.
Adopting their name from the ‘kite’ fold that sets the foundation from which their origami bird emblem—Wazo—emerges, Kaito encourages thoughtful exploration of the incredible spectrum of possibilities that coffee presents.
With mindfulness and transparency as guiding values, Kaito continually strives to make the most delicious and sustainable coffee, and to share what they love with others who care as deeply as they do.
In the meantime, they’re simply doing their part to reveal something beautiful—one fold, and one coffee at a time.
